Description
Betamethasone valerate is a synthetic adrenocorticosteroid. It is a glucocorticoid in nature. It is an analog of prednisolone and has a slight degree of mineralocorticosteroid activity. It is very effective and suitable for dermatological use because it has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects. It is absorbed from the skin. Inflammation and other disease process in the skin increase percutaneous absorption Occlusive dressings substantially increase its percutaneous absorption. Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic, which is active against a wide range of Gram-negative bacten including Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., and Shigella spp. It is effective against Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus faecalis.
